This site carries no affiliate links, no sponsored content and no paid placements. It has no commercial relationship with any manufacturer, retailer, insurer, lender or dealer named in the text. No vendor reviews a page before publication, and no vendor has ever been given the opportunity to.

The site is funded by automatically placed Google advertising. We do not select the advertisers, we do not see the inventory in advance, and an advertisement appearing beside an article is not an endorsement of it. No article is written, framed or scheduled to suit an advertising category.

Sourcing

• Specification figures are cited to primary sources — manufacturer documentation, agency publications, published standards — not to other websites.
• Where a manufacturer's stated figure and observed real-world performance disagree, both are given, with the operating conditions each was measured under.
• Regulatory content cites the statute, regulation or agency guidance it rests on, and names the agency that has jurisdiction.
• Where sources genuinely conflict, the conflict is stated in the article rather than resolved silently in favour of the tidier answer.

Verification and YMYL content

Fifteen articles plus the cost-of-ownership model touch money, legality, insurance or safety. Each carries a visible verification callout instructing the reader to confirm their own position with the authority that governs it. That callout is a structural component of the page, not body copy, and it is not removable by an editorial pass.

Rules covering registration, domicile, permitting, camping, septic and greywater, and insurance are set by states and — more often than most coverage admits — by counties, municipalities and individual land managers. A state-level table is published only where the rule genuinely varies by state. Where it does not, the article explains why the state frame is the wrong frame rather than manufacturing a fifty-row table that reads as authoritative and is not.

The calculators

All five show their full working, populated with the reader's own figures. No result is clamped, rounded down or softened to look more achievable — if the honest answer is 567 amp-hours, the tool says 567 amp-hours. No product is recommended, no vendor is named, and no result is gated behind an email address. Constants are shared across all five tools, so two calculators cannot contradict each other on the same build.

The calculators size components. They do not design electrical systems, and they say so. Overcurrent protection, conductor routing, termination method, bonding and ventilation are installation matters that determine whether a build is safe, and none of them is a number a calculator can return.

What we do not publish

• "Best X of 2026" gear roundups. Affiliate-saturated, shallow, and structurally incompatible with having no commercial relationships.
• Troubleshooting and error-code content. High volume, low value, and not what this library is for.
• Fifty-row state tables where the rule is not set at state level. They read as authoritative and mislead in exactly the cases where being wrong is expensive.
• Product or review structured data. This site reviews categories and approaches, not individual SKUs, and carries no prices or affiliate links. Marking it up as product reviews would misrepresent what it is.

Corrections
